Red Bank Drive-In

Located in the Red Bank section to the north of Chattanooga. The Red Bank Drive-In was opened in 1951 when it was operated by Abe Solomon of Independent Theatres.

There is a old Food Lion shopping center there now. I wish I had a photo of the old drive-in. I remember going to see True Grit when I was little. Well I saw the cartoons and some of the movie! :) It was torn down in the 1980’s.

After getting my drivers license around 1958, I was a frequent visitor to the Red Bank Drive-In. My wife and I had our first date there on Feb 12, 1960. We will celebrate our 53rd anniversary in Dec. Lots of special memories for us.
