Added three aerials from over the years(1954,1972,1994)showing how much it changed.
The Buena Park Drive-In opened on April 24, 1970. It was built by Pacific Theatres on property adjacent to the Lincoln Drive-In but had its own entrance, box-office and facilities and was billed as a twin to the Lincoln. The Lincoln, which was previously called the Cine-Car, with a capacity of 375 cars and Orange County’s second drive-In, began to appear in newspaper listings on May 16, 1949. In the early 1960s, when it was called the Lincoln, it and the Warner Drive-In, was listed as a Family Drive-In Theatre and charged $1.50 a carload for a second-run double bill. On February 14, 1962, the Lincoln and Warner Drive-Ins were placed under Pacific Theatre’s banner, showing first-run movies at an increased admission.
Now a huge housing development with streets named after universities.
Okay,Ct.
I meant to list 4/70 as the newspaper date.
Per a 4/74 Los Angeles Times listing, the Buena Park Drive-In opened with “2001: A Space Odyssey” and “Ride The High Wind”. The ad also stated that the “colorful all-new drive-in theatre” featured a “super screen” and “super sound”.
It was operated by Pacific Theatres, when you add the three car capacities together the count is 1234.
The zip code is 90620. Chain and seat count should be changed to unknown.
This is a 1972 aerial photo. In the 1950s views, you can see the single screen, surrounded by farmland.

Nice one.
This now-forgotten film played briefly at the drive-in back in March 1972:

Obviously, it was split up after my last visit. My bad.
The car capacity of the Buena Park Tri-Plex Drive-In was (339),(368),(527) cars.
This single screen drive-in sat back to back with another single screen ozoner named the Lincoln.
