The Brighton Theater was opened around 1915. It was closed soon after the Egyptian Theater at 326 Washington Street was built in 1929.

The Brighton Th. is listed in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook but with no information.

The Brighton Th. at 400 Market St. is listed in a copy of the Boston business directory, Issue 85, which I think is 1921; found the copy on Google Books.

The Brighton Th. is also listed in the Boston Register and Business Directory, Issue 83, 1918; under “Theatres.”

In a 1918 Boston street directory, the Brighton Theatre is listed at 400 Market Street, near Henshaw Street.

In an Arcadia Press photo book about Brighton, the Brighton Theatre is mentioned and a small ad or program reproduced. It says that the theater was known as “The Barn” and that it opened around 1915.
