The Silver Star Drive-In was opened prior to 1955 when it was operated by Simons Amusement Co. It was originally named Kelton Drive-In and was located in Wallace in the Osborne area. A company called Wallace Realty owned this drive-in 1973, when the company was liquidating.

The Silver Star drive in was only open in the summer months. The indoor theatres in Wallace (The Wilma) and in Kellogg (The Rena) were managed by a husband/wife team. During the summer, the indoor theatres were closed and the drive in opened managed by the same husband/wife team. At the end of each summer, the drive in closed and the indoor theatres reopened. One could see the movie on the outdoor theatre screen while driving on nearby Highway 10 (later, Interstate 90).

The above address will map accurately to the location of the drive-in.

Leisure Acres is the name of the Mobile Home Park. This street did not exist when the drive-in was open. It was entrance. Approx. location would be 1500 West Yellowstone Ave.
