This theater was built near the now nearly closed Washington Mall, originally as a twin theatre on December 24, 1974. It later had eight screens, all with the older auditorium style seating. It was closed on January 20, 2013, and demolished in October 2016.

According to the story, the twin that opened in 1974 closed in 1986; the eight-screen complex opened on Dec. 18, 1987 and is still open.

Was the 8-screener an expansion of the original twin, or was the twin demolished to make way for an all-new build?

The theatre is now closed.
The last showings were on January 20th, 2013.
As the condition of the theatre and the entire mall deteriorated, the only choice was to close it.
