The Ritz Theatre was opened by 1936. It was listed as (Closed) in 1937, but had reopened by 1938. As late as 1955, the Ritz Theater was situated between Fishers restaurant and a barber shop in downtown Littlefield showing Spanish films. It had a simple although ornate marquee that spanned the width of the building with "Ritz" spelled out in block letters accented with neon lighting on each end.
