The Dipson Theater possibly opened in the late-1940’s. It is not listed in the 1943 edition of Film Daily Yearbook, but is listed in the 1950 edition (but without an actual address), and continued to operate during the 1950’s. It was located on W. Main Street. It was demolished during urban renewal.

In Google Street View or Bing Maps Bird’s-eye view I don’t see any buildings resembling any of those in the photo. A big chunk of downtown Batavia has been demolished and replaced by one of those enclosed shopping malls, so it’s likely that the Dipson Theatre is gone.
