The opening date of the Picture House is not known at the moment, but it was operating in Coleraine by 1937. It was still known as the Picture House in 1944, but by 1947 had a change of name to Picture Palace, under new owners.

By 1963 it was known as the Palace Cinema. Cinemascope had been fitted and the proscenium was 23 feet wide. The screen measured 20 feet x 10 feet. The Palace Cinema was still listed as operating in 1965, but probably closed in the 1970’s, as it had gone from listings by 1980. It was converted into shops.
