The High-Way Cinema opened in 1969 right next door to a truck stop on Highway 75. The High-Way had one screen from 1969 to 1979, but in 1980 the High-Way was twinned.

The theatre was triplexed in 2000 and now has Dolby Stereo sound in all three auditoriums.
