The Lee Theatre was located near the intersection of West Jefferson Street and North Raynor Avenue. It opened in 1946. I saw movies there in the late-1950’s and early-1960’s. The theatre burned down in 1963, and was never rebuilt.

One movie sticks out in my mind that I saw at the Lee. A Summer Place.
The building in the picture was built as part of the Mister Donut chain. Now it is Joliet Home Cut Donuts.
