The Amuzu was the most run down theater in Des Moines. Their fare was always old westerns and old cartoons. It was always joked that there were big rats in it.

In a Sunday May 5th, 1935 Des Moines Resister ad, the AMUZU theater was running “THE WESTERNER” STARING Tim McCoy. No mention of price in this ad.

I also correct the address to 515 E. Locust.
