Akron Park Theater

The Park Theatre originally opened in 1884 as the Park Theatre and Rink. It later became a movie house. After closing as a movie theater, the building served as a grocery store, and later a restaurant. Today, a video rental business is located in the former Park Theatre.

Any photos…interior and exterior? I know folks formerly from Akron and I’ve been to the town though it was prior to getting the theatre “bug”.

The Winer & Sons site indicates one of their organs was installed in the Akron Theater in 1923. Same venue. Winer site was wrong?
