A previous theatre operated at the Fotosho location with the name MARCO and was opened by F. E. McViegh. The location (it is unclear whether it ever showed films) eventually fell in the hands of the Leach Family who partnered with Famous Players-Lasky and eventually founded the Miami branch of Paramount-Publix.

The group eventually controlled the Fotosho, Fairfax, and the Airdome.

The Fotosho in Miami is listed in 1930 with 500 seats.

The Fotosho was already open in 1915. It DID eventually re-open after the 1926 hurricane only to close again for good in 1930.

Here is a 1921 photo of a Fotosho Theater. The location given is East Flagler Street. Same theater?
