This theater opened in 1955 with a 250 car capacity and closed in 1980, according to my grandparents. It was demolished in 1992 and was located between Duncan and Meridian, Oklahoma. I think it was in a pasture.

This theater looks to be a duplicate of the 81 Drive-In listed in Comanche, OK. I wonder which city can rightly claim this one?
Well I guess I am the resident expert here since this is my family’s theatre. Very good question. We had a phone line from Duncan and received our mail from Comanche. The dividing line at the time for the cities was just a tiny bit North of us, so I suppose we were true border dwellers.

This drive-in was approx. just south of the OLD U.S. Hwy 81 & Terry Rd.
