The Broad Street Drive-In From The Late 70's...

The Broad Street Drive-In was located near the foot of Lookout Mountain, which was a very scenic location. It was still open in the late 70’s when I drove by it. I believe Martin Theaters operated it at that time. I believe it opened about 1950 and closed about 1980. I know the screen and marquee remained for some time after it closed, but don’t know if they remain today.

The Broad Street Drive-In had a capacity for 637 cars.

Approx. address for this drive-in was 3515 Saint Elmo Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37409. It is now Ahern Rentals. Weird thing is after all those years the building in the center of this property is most likely the snack bar/projection booth.
