This was a very popular twin theater in Wrightstown in the Eighties and Nineties that showed first run features. It closed and was turned into a church around 2001-2002.

Its close proximity to Fort Dix and Maguire Air Force base made it very popular on weekends. I went through my teenage years going to this movie theater. I saw “Mr. Mom” here in 1983 and the last movie I saw here was “Rush Hour 2” in 2001.

The only Hanover Twin Cinema that I can find for Wrightstown, NJ was located at 527 Wrightstown Sykesville Road. Located at that address today is the Ambassador Baptist Church.

See my comment under the Towne Theatre. I can’t believe that a town of this size could support two distinct theaters.

TC….Are you sure that the Towne Theater is listed in 1956? I checked a 1955 Film Daily and it isn’t there. This might be a later theater that replaced the Towne.
