The Aldea Theater was operating long before 1945, it was the first theater in Malad City, Idaho. It was a long narrow building and the seats were on either side of a central isle and as I recall no balcony so the capicity was quite limited.

Thank you for your post. Yes, there were two theaters in Malad City going back to the 1920’s and earlier. The earliest on was the Aldea Theater located on a short, narrow street named Pig Alley and the other theater was the Star located on No. Main Street. The Star was built in the early 1920’s and had a small Wicks theater pipe organ that accompanied the silent pictures. I have many happy childhood memories of times spent at the Aldea and Star theaters in Malad City, Idaho
