Located close to the north of the ‘Strip’ in an alley behind 1304 Las Vegas Boulevard S. The Strip Center Theatre was opened on August 18, 1972 screening adult movies. It was renamed Gaiety Theatre on September 6, 1972. It was listed as open in 1977, screening adult movies to a mixed gay/straight audience.

The building still stands, currently unused.

I forgot about this. I was crawling down the Strip on Saturday too. My bad.

Rough neighborhood. I never knew this was an adult theater. Maybe that’s the way to go in this part of Downtown.

This opened as the Strip Center Theatre in alley behind 1304 Las Vegas Boulevard on August 18th, 1972. It became the Gaiety on September 6th, 1972. Grand opening ads in the photo section.
