50sSnipes … September 20, 1979 was a Thursday … unusual day of the week for the closing date. Would expect it to be on a Saturday night.

The area surrounding the theater is referred to as Prices' Corner … note the correct spelling that is usually ignored … including its Wikipedia article:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prices_Corner,_Delaware

Mr. Prices was presumably a farmer or a merchant in the area before it was developed. As three significant roads met at an unusual ‘triangular’ intersection the surrounding area came to be called Prices' Corner. In addition to the drive-in there is still a shopping center and a car wash with the name.

Opened with “Blue Hawaii” and “The commancheros”. Why the name Price’s Corner?

Great pic NYozoner. Thanks! It’s amazing how different things looked before the 141 expansion.
I wonder how many drive-ins bit the dust for WalMarts in the 80s.

Can anyone give me info on the Cinemart on Gov Prinz? I can’t find any info anywhere, but, I stop to look at it every time I’m in the area. What a mystery. The only thing I can tell is that I was built in the 60’s due to the chandelier and font on the front sign.
