The 4-screen Jet Centre opened in August 1990. The leisure complex also included an ice rink, an indoor play park and a bowing alley. Over a period of time, the facilities gradually closed, and the 4-screen cinema was closed on 14th April 2005.

In 2006 it was purchased by the independent Movie House Cinemas chain, re-opening on 21st July 2006 as the Movie House. They added two more screens which opened on 1st September 2006.

terrible cinema,worse staff and dreadful chain owner,the total opposite of the cinema experience today.
