Built on the site of the 1930’s built Strand Cinema. The new 7-screen Strand Cinema opened on 29th November 1993. Seating capacities in the screens are: 315, 270, 215, 215, 170, 120 and 90. Now re-named Omniplex, it is operated by Ward Anderson, Empire Cinemas chain, who operate as Omniplex Cinemas in Northern Ireland.
