The Wayne Theater opened in the early-1940’s (it is listed as open in 1941 with 300 seats). It retained the Wayne name into 1950 when it had 250 seats. Later renamed Mohawk Theater, it and was closed by the early 1970’s. The building is now used as a restaurant.
