The Hollywood Theater opened on the south side of Main street in 1946.
Seating capacity was 200 and it was in operation until the late-1960’s. As of 2003 the structure stood abandoned, looking a a little forlorn, but not unattractive.

This is a recent shot of the commercial area on E. Main St., Bokchito, and this is the only building that looks like a former theatre. Pan up and down the street and see what you come up with.

This theatre was demolished when I was growing up in Bokchito. It has been replaced by storage units. The location is directly across the street from the town pavilion on Main St which is next to the bank.
