The Crockett Theater was opened in early-1933 by Pinnie Swetcoff and the name was changed to the Grayson Theater within a couple months.

    1. Hamm took over operations May 24, 1934 and gave it the name Royal Theater, while also naming C. N. Jenkins as manager. It was closed later in the same year and was the only movie theater to have been located on the west side of the town square.
