The Bedford Cinema was converted out of shop premises, with a small auditorium at the rear. It was operating from 1911 through to 1915, perhaps even to 1920. It was operated by E. Mason. By 1920, the building was being used as St. Phillip’s Church Mission.

In 2009, a William Hill bookmakers (betting shop) is operating at this address, in the original building which was the Bedford Cinema’s entrance. The auditorium at the rear, along Shipka Road, has been demolished and housing built on the site.
