Asti Cinema

This was the third cinema of the Evere district, after the Lido Cinema and Etoile Cinema. It had a short career of only 8 years(1954-1962). It was opened in 1955 under the name of Versailles Cinema and “The Glenn Miller Story” and “Rock Around the Clock” were showned.

In 1958 the name was changed to Asti Cinema, with 2 programmes a week. In 1960, it became an all family cinema, always children were admitted and it was run by Franois Degreef, who also managed the Eldo Cinema, near Brussels, Gare du Nord railway station. In its last period of operation, the Asti Cinema was only open on the week-end and closed in 1967.
