The Jefferson Square Theatre opened in 1970 seating 600. It ran first run attractions thru 1993 when it closed.
It now houses offices for Medicaid Administractive Offices and So. Carolina State Government Offices for Elder Care Trust Fund.

Carolina Cinemas at one time had 5 theatres in Columbia, SC.

Wow,I am pretty close to Columbia and often would look at the STATE newspaper, never noticed Carolina Cinemas.
