That is a nice photo. The first link is interesting. It states that “Tuesday afternoon is movie day for Selma’s Senior Citizens at the old Walton Theater”. Movies should be added as another function.

The original Walton Theatre opened in 1914. The theater was operational until the early 1970s. By 1982 the theater was in disrepair and a community effort, led by Larry Striplin, was undertaken to restore the theater. The renovated Larry Striplin Perfoming Arts Center reopened in 1985.
