Skyview Drive-In,  Ardmore, OK

The Skyview Drive-In had a capacity of 300 cars. It was opened July 28, 1950 with Randolph Scott in “Canadian Pacific”. It was operated by E.B. Anderson & James Gaskin. It was demolished in the mid-2000’s after sitting abandoned for several years as a relic of a bygone period.

Took photos of this drive in on one of the days it was being demolished!! All is gone today. These were taken back in 2007.. View link .. Click on Each photo to enlarge..

This Drive In was being demolished at the time these photos were taken. Check in above comment I posted .. The screen was already on the ground. The Snack bar was in horrible shape & would be next to be razed..

Opened on 28/7/1950 with a colour cartoon(not named?), news and “Canadian Pacific”.
