Web site roadsideoklahoma notes report;
"I have decided, by process of elimination, that this theater must have been the Capitol Drive-In. It is the only lot remaining in town that shows any identifiable signs of having been a drive-in. The ticket booth is long gone, but the concession stand foundation is still present. The screen has fallen and is laying far into the field of grass in a twisted wreck of metal."

Any material you may have on the Capitol will be useful.

Only ruins remain of the former Capitol Drive-In, but it looks as if this had been quite a nice ozoner,

FYI – This picture is of the old Mt. Scott Drive In. It was owned and opperated by the Hamm family. It was relocated to 11th and Coombs back in the early 70’s. Before it was located approx Sheridan and Gore (Just North and on the West side where Office Depot is now located) The Hankin’s Drive In was just North on 11th at Bishop on the Northeast edge of the airport field. Then there was the 82nd St Twin Drive In. It was located between HEY 62 and Cache Rd on 82nd Street. I’ve been here all my life (52 years) and don’t remember a Capitol or Austin Drive In.
