With clean line Moderne styling and beautiful landscaping the Sky Vu Drive-In was quite the attractive outdoor theatre. The screen was larger than most and had good reflection for a quality picture.

In 1959 it was renamed Carlton Drive-In. By the early-1980’s all traces of this former theatre had vanished.

McAlester was the home to the Skyview Drive in. In the late 50’s it held 385 cars and was owned by J.D. Lankister. McAlester also had the HIWAY 270 DRIVE IN and it parked 400 cars owned by Robb& Rowley.

The Sky Vu was renamed the Carlton in March 1959. This listing should be merged into the Carlton Drive-In listing, as it was called the Sky Vu from 1950-59, and the Carlton from 1959 until its closing in the early 1980s.
