This 11-screen cinema is located at Mill Avenue and 7th Street. It was closed by Harkins Theatres chain in July 2007 when they opened the new Harkins Tempe Marketplace 16.

In 2009, it was taken over by the Mill Avenue District Community Arts Project(MADCAP), for use as a live performance venue, with some film use to be added in the future. Initially, only 3 of the 11 screens are in use and have seating for 120, 150 and 310. Closed again in August 2012, it is planned to be taken over by AMC in 2014/2015.

I used to go to this theater when it was part of Harkins theater chain. It is in the heart of downtown Tempe off Mill Ave. I watched Forrest Gump at this theater. Glad they are reopening it again as a theater. Nice facility.

The MADCAP Theater closed in August 2012. It has since been vacant though there are plans to renovate and reopen as an AMC Theater location in 2014 or 2015

This theater has been closed down in 2012 every since the theater owner couldn’t renew his least .I saw Harry Potter in that theater when Harkins Theatres operated and they used the 35mm films to play movies however there are plans to renovate and reopen as an AMC Theater location in 2014 or 2015 but at lease AMC is gonna reopen this theater.
