This opened on September 8th, 1950 and closed following the 1981 season. Grand opening ad posted.

The Hilltop Drive In Theatre was indeed located at Cedar and Housers Streets in Muscatine. I managed it for several years in the 1970’s. Clayton and Ruby Bosten were the owners. Carbon arc projectors and a very large screen. Huge concession stand. It was a great drive in. Too bad it was torn down…Now Blue Grass Iowa has a double screen, 2016…

All the house’s and buisness at the corner of cedar and houser street right in front of the Muscatine High School is where it was located

From what I gather, the location is wrong. Here is a current view of where it was (Hwy 22 and Houser, near the High School)
