The address comes up Hancock Fabrics so the header should be Function – Retail. This theatre was just down the road from the Venture Dept. Store.
The Parkview was opened in 1966. A few photos of it accompanied an article about in the February 20, 1967, issue of Boxoffice. The theater was designed by Irving R. Klein & Associates, Houston. The Parkview had 868 seats, and was operated by the Interstate circuit.
Closed in 1985. The last couple years it was open it was known as the Dollar Cienma showing sub runs at discount prices.
Saw Gremlins in 84, Weird Science in 85, Fatal Attraction in 87 (it was a Dollar Cinema then)
I am so curious to know what this place looks like now in the theater area
Described in this 1967 trade article: Boxoffice
It closed sometime in the late 80s to very early 90s.
