The Hauber Theatre was located on the corner of W. Washington Street and N. Adams Street and opened in 1921. In the 1930’s it was renamed Strand Theatre. It became one of the five downtown theatres. In the 1941 and 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook, it was listed as being operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary M.A. Lightman. It was closed in 1955.
It has been demolished and the building at the location is a Jewelry Store. The Strand Theatre and the old Malco Theatre are the only two of the five to have been demolished. I could only find mentioning and addresses for the Strand theatre on a couple history sites for the County.

Launched as the Hauber Theatre in 1921 as part of the Otto C. Hauber’s Theatre Circuit. A. Joe Lukachie ran the theatre into the 1930s when it became the Strand Theatre. The last ads are at the end of 1955, likely spelling the end of the theatre.
