The Edison Theater was operating prior to 1941 and continued until at least 1950. I came across this theater purely by chance. It is on Georgia Highway 37 in downtown Edison, Georgia. It looks similar to other theaters in the area. The roof is gone and the inside has been gutted. I think seating capacity had to have been 150-200 maximum.
While demolition of this building is unlikey, mostly due to the fact that Edison is a tiny town and would have nothing to build here in its place, it has reached a horrible state of deterioration.
