Located in the Barnsbury area of Islington in North London. The Variety Picture Palace was a shop conversion which opened as a cinema in 1909. It continued through several operators until it was closed in 1915, and it reverted back to retail use.
In the 1980’s it was a Mecca Bookmakers betting shop, and today is a solicitors office.
