Located close to Lion Yard and the Red Lion pub, the Biograph Theatre opened in 1911. It was operated by Biograph Theatres Ltd. It was closed in 1921.

By 1971, the building was in use as a discotheque. The building was demolished in 1973, and an office block named Valentines House was built on the site.
