The Shepherd Drive-In opened at 6:45 p.m. on May 23, 1947. The premier feature was “Rage in Heaven” with Ingrid Bergman and Robert Montgomery. It was operated by the Interstate Theatre Corporation.

Like alot of Drive-ins in Texas it was owned by Interstate in 1956.
