The Market Street Drive-In opened at 7:45 p.m. on August 26, 1948. The premier feature was “Relentless” with Robert Young and Marguerite Chapman. The Market Street advertised ‘room for 670 cars, loud speaker for each car’.
An Anheuser-Busch beer distribution center now stands on the Market Street site.

I just wish i would have saved all those BOXOFFICE mags, we ALL threw away. However, unlike you I did save a few!
