Hoyts Tamworth Drive-In

Located in the town of West Tamworth, north of Sydney. The Hoyts Tamworth Drive-In opened in either late-October or early-November 1966. It was designed by architect Peter Muller of the architectural firm Peter Muller of Sydney. A notable feature of the drive-in theatre was the projection box built on top of the concession building, rather than being in a separate building. It was closed around 1984.

Address is Werris Creek Road and Hillvue Road, West Tamworth. 626 cars. Closed in(1984?) and put up for auction. The snack bar/bio box building was donated to a church(unknown where?). The site is now a housing estate(and possibly also a child care centre?).
