From Google street views, it looks like this had no stagehouse. A long rectangular building. The boarding along the storefront windows is painted with artwork. The front facade is quite ornate and the building looks in very good condition.

The Strand in South Bend is listed in the 1942-43 Motion Picture Almanac under L. Cochovety theaters. Cochovety also ran the Indiana Theatre in South Bend, as well as the North Side, Tivoli, and Temple theaters in Mishawaka IN. Their office address was 311 S. Michigan St. in South Bend, which was very close to the Strand’s address.
