The Star Theatre opened in 1930 with seating listed at 395. It was on W. Howard Street at S. Locuast Street. When the theatre closed it was operated by Iowa United Theatres.
The theatre closed in 1955 and was converted to the Triangle Lanes, a bowling alley that is still in operation.
