Viewing: Photo | Street View

Opened as the Greenville Grande Stadium 14 on April 20, 2007 under Charlotte-based Consolidated Theatres. It was Greenville’s largest megaplex that included stadium seating in all auditoriums with plush seating with cupholders. All auditoriums were equipped with full THX and Dolby Digital Projection along with advance ticketing for upcoming features and two large concession stands. Regal took over this theatre after its acquisition of Consolidated Theatres.

When the Greenville Grande opened I was glad to have an alternative to the Carmike 12, which was showing its age. The first movie I saw in this beautiful cinema was “Grindhouse”. I had previously seen “Grindhouse” at the Carmike (which was a more fitting venue for that film) and the difference between the two multiplexes was like night and day. The Greenville Grande is the better of the two; why Carmike is still in Greenville I haven’t figured out.
