A momentous night in 1943 for the Alacazar. A changing of the guards took place as the legendary Sid Grauman in on hand as the theatre goes from his organization to the Fox West Coast Theatre Circuit. Fox gets off to a strong start with “For Whom the Bell Tolls” with performer Katin Paxinou (in the center) making a personal appearance.
