Varsity Theatre

Opened as a single screen July 30, 1965 with Carrol Baker in “Harlow”. It was located in the Varsity Shopping Center. Originally operated by H.B. Meiselman Theatres. By 1980 it was a triplex with seating listed at 620. It was by that time operated by Eastern Federal Theatres.

The Varsity Theatre closed in 2001 and is Chubby’s Night Club. It was demolished in early-November 2017 with the site planned for a Target store.
