The Cherokee Theatre shows up in Paramount Week ads for 1919 and 1920 as showing movies. It was still listed as the Cherokee Theatre in 1926, but by 1928 it was called the Eaton Theatre and may have closed the following year when it was taken over for use as a department store and a bank.
