The Armview Theatre was part of the Walker-Affiliated Theatres chain when it opened in 1938. Architects were Luke, Little & Mace.

The original address was 677 Quinpool Road, but with the redoing of streets and numbers it becams 6167 Quinpool Road Halifax, NS B3L 4P6
