17 & 35 are the same highway, look at the map at the top of the page. Andy has the right address, it maps right to the drive-in, both with google and microsoft.

The address for this drive-in was 2719 Florida 35, Bowling Green, FL 33834.

Right address #, wrong Hwy #. U.S. 17 probably didn’t exist when this was built.

2719 U.S. 17, Bowling Green, FL 33834

The above address maps accurately to the location of the drive-in, which is visible on Google Earth with present day imagery. The address currently in the heading is off by about 1,000 feet to the south.

The road which runs behind the drive-in, parallel to US 17, is called Theater Rd, probably as a fond reminder of when all the neighborhood kids used to sneak in from the back of the theatre.

Bowling Green is the next town north. Wauchula is the largest city in the county.

Andy, is Bowling Green a suburb of Wauchula, your address puts it in Bowling Green when you map it.
The Starlite was open in the mid 1950’s with 250 car capacity and was part of the Floyd Theatres. It closed in the mid-1980’s.
