This is the photo I referred to in my comment. I’ve rotated it so north is at the top. Here you can see the area on the north side of Bird Street when it was a trailer park, before it was developed into the shopping center. At the right you can see the Sulphur Springs tourist attraction and the iconic Sulphur Springs Arcade, with the greyhound racing track just north of it.

Also, this is before I-75 (now I-275) was built just to the right of the drive-in.
